It will help provide a backbone for people, organizations, and our environs and community to be healthy, connected, creative, and inclusive; increase our adjacent possible; and integrate food, family, arts, and wellness to achieve collective impact on the nine dimensions of individual and community wellbeing.
Together, we will provide shared value and triple bottom line returns on investment by tenants, partner organizations, and people working, living, learning, and playing in the region.
Our friends at Tom's Food Markets joined us to share how they celebrated their 75th anniversary with a collaboration with Iron Fish and how they celebrate community spirit by supporting community-forward organizations in our region.

As our building takes shape on 8th Street, we’re looking back at when Commongrounds was just an awesome idea Chris Treter and a few other local dreamers had.

The first episode in the series features a Q&A with Jennifer Yeatts, Director of Coffee at Higher Grounds Trading Company, one of our flagship building tenants. She filled us in on what Higher Grounds is brewing for their cafe and educational spaces in our new building, Higher Ground’s mission and story, and how to make the perfect pour over.
We really wanted to have a great big party in person to celebrate this milestone, but alas, the times prevented a groundbreaking bash. Instead, we celebrated virtually on Facebook Live.
Commonplace and Higher Grounds knew that it would take a special architect for the project to be successful - one that was not only engaged in the project, but also committed to Commonground’s mission, goals, value and culture. Ray fit that bill.
